I read the most famous italian fable ‘Pinocchio’s Adventures’ and I analysed it. I found out that the flight was one of the most recurrent actions of the marionette. I tried to give the sense of the movements linked to the flight through compositions of letters. Each image communicates an action of Pinocchio’s flight.
I chose 5 verbs: to spring (“scattare” is the equivalent italian verb), to jump (“saltare”), to throw oneself (“gettarsi”), to run (“correre”), and to fly (“fuggire”). I put them together in a strip of paper in order to express the idea of continuity and movement without pauses.
